Big Brother Africa III

In Africa today, or should I say the world over, television reality shows are stealing the audience, the ratings are busting through the roof and the actors or should I say the participants depending on the one you are watching are gaining all the popularity while the producers are smiling to the banks.
Let me narrow down what I want to talk about to Africa, The Ultimate Search ended a few weeks ago with the top guy cashing a whooping N7million naira and a brand new jeep, which I don’t really mind, considering what they go through in the jungle for weeks of bad weather threats of wild life and poor diet, not to talk of test of skill and strength.
The Intern or Apprentice Africa, these also have good reviews and a wide audience especially in the corporate world, where youths are tested in marketing and managerial skills, with real life tasks of delivering for the said organization and the winners end up having Read the rest of this entry »

Step Into The Unknown

I actually wrote and posted this article last week, but was shocked to see that it somehow disappeared, i hope it stays this time around…
I was given an opportunity to add value at a training session organized by PFI for UAC foods staff and a few other people, the meeting was fantastic, it was tagged Work Place Heroes. I was mandated to share in two hours or there about on How You To Stand Out! In your place of work.
It seemed a herculean task at first when I was given the topic 3days before the training, but as usual I went to tap inspiration from my mentor, and while sourcing for materials online and it dawned on me that I was capable to deliver on this, else I wouldn’t have been sourced for. Middle game…

I was told once, that life is a middle game, and I didn’t make much of it then, but as we age and experience robs us off our youth, we begin to understand or unravel the greatest mystery of all… Life!
No matter where you are today and what you are going through, the truth is there have been people or better put there are people who are going through worse and you can really only call you situation bad when you have compared it with something better.
I’ve watched enough CNN, looked at where I am coming from and also seen in the environment around me to know you and I are lucky to be where we are, no matter how bad it seems to us compared to our dreams, desires and fantasies. It’s a sane thought and worth thinking.
