Time 2 Re-strategize
By Felix | March 31, 2008
… “I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he had imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” –Henry David Thoreau –
It looks like I was over watered… (lol). I was hoping to have done at least 3 posts last week and I ended with just one. I remember sometime last year when I was privileged to be in a meeting with Prof. Pat Utomi and we were sharing ideas of what we had to do then in bringing the New Nigeria Club Initiative in place and driving it.
He gave us one advice or should I call it a saying, that I have seen with time, come into play almost every day after that meeting. He said “ The fruit of Hard Work is More work”. And he said this because he saw the work load ahead of us with the ideas we shared with him back then and I remember back then we didn’t have a quarter of what we are doing now in our portfolio.
I also remember before then I used to have the notion that if you worked hard for a while, you will have time to rest and enjoy the fruit of the hard work, how wrong I was, don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, just shedding a little more light on how busy my schedule has becoming and its clearly affecting a few other areas and relationships I have.
I also remember again, before the close of the meeting we had in the office this morning, my boss said “Whoever doesn’t have a boyfriend or a girlfriend now is going to find it difficult now to find one”. Yes, I have been complaining of having too much to do and how busy my schedule had become, well the first quarter of the year has come and gone. This second quarter is resuming tomorrow and the truth is if we don’t review our goals to see if we are on track, we’ll stay under the notion that we’ll accidentally arrive at our dreams or plans at the end of the year.
At the beginning of the year a lot of us had big dreams and aspirations for this year, well truth is… it’s time to revisit those goals to see if we are on track or if we need to re-strategize to get things on track. This does not mean that if your financial target for the year is $1million, automatically by the end of the first quarter you are supposed to have $250thousand… NO. It doesn’t have to work that way, but it means you should have dug up enough substance to give you a clearer direction to achieving that goal or revisit the goal and adjust it to what is possible.
This is not saying you necessarily have to reduce the $1million but instead you might need to adjust some habits that prevent you from being focused enough to achieving the goal. Yes you might need to stop some and start some fresh habits. One of the things on the list for my weekly expectations, is to stop a bad habit or start one good habit and this tends to keep you on track. Habits include reading a chapter of a book everyday or attending seminars or trainings for self development or the ones that are in alignment with your goals.
Enough for today’s class before I start sounding like a lecturer … (lol). I know I am lagging behind in some of the things I have promised in my past posts, examples are the continuation of my story and the information I promised on current hot investment opportunities. Not to worry, we are still on track and as the week and the new month unfolds I will share some of these information here and the rest will be sent to those who indicated interest to be on my mailing list for such opportunities and for those who are interested you can indicate here.
Have a beautiful week ahead and let’s keep our eyes on the carrot as we pursue our goals, because the truth is if you have your goals written down, you are half way through the journey because you have a direction and nature which has been designed to be in our favor will work with you to achieving them. Â
Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in ones favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets: ‘Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it.’” –W.H. Murray

Thanks Felix…25% of our life this year is gon already. We still have 75% which is still a good mark…The remaining is enough to for us to get 100% of our determined goals.
As a matter of truth, God’s providence as been working for me since i stepped out on a new beginning on eagles wings.

This is wonderful… I was not surprised knwing that the 1st quarter has just ended… but only the clock can say exactly how fast! Looking back to what I set and how well I have gone? ..To God be the glory!!!
A right time to re-visit and make adjustments where it’s necessary. This is just “an awakening message” To those who has ears, let them not just hear but, take action!!!
