    2nd Half

    By Felix | July 2, 2008

2nd-half2.jpgWe are in the second half of the glorious 2008, they year of very high expectations, I remember the beginning of the year, like the beginning of every other year, we all look with high expectations and high hopes, because the end of the year always seems so far.

Well wake up from your slumber, because half of the year is gone and trust me the second half goes even faster than the first, but it doesn’t mean that the beautiful dreams and goals we set for ourselves should be shelved under the carpet. It’s time to revisit these goals and step up our game.

It doesn’t matter how far from your goals you are, because if you don’t have half of what you aspired to have this year yet, it doesn’t mean it over for that goal, aside from learning this from experience, there is a saying that goes… If I had eight hours to chop a tree, I would spend six hours sharpening my axe.

Simply put in another way is when preparation meets with opportunity, people can’t help but wonder, so if you are not where you are supposed to be yet, then you’d better be in serious preparation in getting there. Keep your eye on your goal, while taking deliberate steps towards achieving these goals, you’ll get to a point when all you need is one more strike at it and you’ll find gold, don’t get me wrong here, if what it is that you are working on is not making head way at all, then maybe what you need is to re-evaluate it and make necessary changes that will have positive effects on it.

There is also a saying that’s goes thus; It is only a mad man that will realize the direction he is travelling is wrong and still decide to double his speed in that direction.

Bottom line of the message I am putting across here is “we might not be able to live the past six months over again, but we can really live up the remaining six to our potential from this moment on”. One simple guide line to achieving this is knowing that:  The key is not to prioritize your schedule, but to schedule your priorities. Do the important things first – because where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going.

Let’s not get depressed as our best days are here, take this charge from the poem below.

    I Will
I will think of better ways.
I will develop ways to achieve positive attitude.
I will keep reviewing my goals.
I will accept that I cannot change.
I will learn from my mistakes.
    I will start living.
    I will smile.
    I will be happy.
    I will enjoy myself.
    I will be honest.
    I will remain humble.
I will put myself in the other person’s shoes.

    See you at the top.

    Peace n a fist!

you are right its only a mad man that will realize the direction he is travelling is wrong and still decide to double his speed in that direction and it might not only be the past six months that we have not lived right it might be TWO YEARS, TWO MONTHS AND TWENTY ONE DAYS

I guess we all have goals that one wants to complete and most go un.. one thing i have learned “ONE DAY AT A TIME” for tomorrow may never come or may not come for someone you may know and when that happens it will rock your world to the point of disaster leaving you lost, life thrown into the air only for you to figure out how to live again, Thank God for each day you make it threw, for giving your what you needed to get threw that day for tomorrow may never come..

Everyone who has ever taken a shower has had an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off, and does something about it that makes a difference, may God give us the strenth to achieve our goals this second half of the year in Jesus name .Amen
